  • Females can mix a half tablespoon of Licorice in honey and consume it twice a day for best results.
  • You can mix 1 tablespoon of Licorice churna in warm water and drink it in place of tea. It will be most beneficial.
  • For applying on skin, you must make a thick paste of Licorice powder by mixing in water and apply on the infected areas 2-3 times per day.
  • Taking Licorice powder in the morning while an empty stomach can heal acidity and digestion process.
  • You can do gargle of Licorice powder mixed in warm water. It will heal the mouth ulcers.
  • Taking Licorice churna daily helps in improving eye sight.
  • Mix Licorice powder in hot milk and drink it once per day for 1 month regularly. It will increase the activeness of the body.
  • Licorice is also available in capsules. You can take 2 capsules per day. But it is advised to use pure Licorice churna for the best results.

Side effects Licorice/Mulethi:-

  • In severe kidney diseases also, Licorice can harm adversely.
  • People taking digoxin-based, diuretics or digitalis glycoside heart medications should avoid Licorice.
  • The herb should not be used in hypokalemia, hypertension and renal insufficiency.
  • Pregnant ladies should also avoid taking Licorice in any form.
  • It should be noted that less and accurate consumption of Licorice doesn’t has any major side effects.
