Nyctanthes arbor-tristis is a shrub or small tree that grows up to 10 m (33 ft) tall, with gray-green heads. Leaves opposite, simple, 6-12 cm (2.4-4.7 in) long and 2-6.5 cm (0.79-2.56 in) wide, with broad edges. The flowers are fragrant, with a white five- to eight-leaf corolla with a reddish-orange center; are produced in groups of two to seven together, with individual flowers opening in the evening and ending in the early morning. The fruit consists of two colored, heart-shaped, heart-shaped 2 cm (0.79 wide) spores, each containing one seed. +935*6
