Black fungus treatment in Ayurveda.

Black fungus, scientifically known as Mucormycosis is spreading rapidly in India. It causes in the patients who have recovered from Covid-19 or are in between of the treatment. It is a serious infection that can cause severe health problems and even deaths. Mucormycosis mainly affects the upper parts of the body such as Eyes, Mouth,Nose, Lungs, Forehead,etc. It most effects the persons already suffering from diabetes and if the black fungus infection combines with the sinus then it becomes most harmful.

Ayurveda includes the infection of Black fungus in the group of Cough and blood diseases. 20 different types of diseases are described by Ayurveda that originates from Cough and blood, Mucormycosis is one of them. There are 3 major ways of treating Black fungus as prescribed by the doctors of Ayurveda.
• The treatment used for severe cough and blood also works in the case of Black fungus. You can use Giloy as the safest herb. Prepare a paste of Giloy leaves and apply on the infected areas of face.
• The second medicine that can be taken is Malabar Nut. The powder of Malabar nut with honey and taking 3/4 tablespoon two times a day will definitely help.
• An Ayurveda medicine called Vidanga is also very much effective on Black fungus. It treats the symptoms of Mucormycosis internally and treats the patient.

How it causes:-

Black fungus is often characterized by hyphae growing in and around blood vessels and can be life-threatening for people with diabetes or severe disability.
“Mucormycosis” and “zygomycosis” are sometimes used interchangeably. However, zygomycota has been identified as polyphyletic, and it has not been included in modern fungal systems. Also, while zygomycosis infects Entomophthorales, mucormycosis does not include this group. Corticosteroids are widely used in the treatment of COVID-19 and reduce damage caused by the immune system itself during coronavirus infection. They contain immunosuppressants and increase blood sugar levels in both diabetic and non-diabetic patients. It is thought that both of these effects may be contributing to the course of mucormycosis.
